Christmas Dough Ornaments and Free Dear Santa Letters

Have you written your letters to Santa yet? If not, grab these free templates. They are differentiated to support students working at different levels. Enjoy!

 More Crafts from our classroom!

We made these cute charms in class out of dough! It's a mixture of glue and corn starch, then cut into circles.

I have to be honest - the dough was a bit strange to deal with due to the cornstarch. It "melted" with the heat of your hand, and the circles were prone to cracking a bit when dried.

The texture was lovely to work with, especially with pencil crayon. We added beads and wire.

2 parts corn starch, 1 part white glue. If you make flat ones, keep them quite small because some of the larger ones cracked once they were dry. I'd recommend trying it with some flour, salt and white glue to see if it's a bit less fragile.

                   Thanks for stopping by today!

  11. I am so sorry you were sick, Susanna! :( BOO. You need to take a day sometime for mental health to make up for it, I am thinking (Dr. Carolyn). I LOVE your ornament idea- and everything else- those little beards on Santa are adorable. I WISH I was right there at your table for your blogger meet up! :)
