Random Acts of Kindness Class Project

The people of Newtown, CT, have asked people to commit random acts of kindness on December 14 to honor the teachers and students.

As educators, we remember and honor our fallen colleagues and their students from Sandy Hook School. We honor them each day in our classrooms in which we continue their dream of teaching our children. We honor their memory with our service. Join with teachers everywhere in committing random acts of kindness to show our love for Sandy Hook.

If you would like to discuss and collect ideas of Random Acts of Kindness, please feel free to use this template for a Random Acts of Kindness Class Book. This one is a take-home project to promote the conversation at home with families as well.

It is free. Just click here or on the image to download.

  2. What a wonderful idea! I'd love a copy of your book, but when I click it only shows me the image again. Is there someplace else it is posted, Susanna?

  4. I love this idea. It is such an important time for the kids (well, everyone!) to remember the true importance of this season, too- the kindness, giving, and doing for others! :) Your class book is always one of my favorites!

  7. Thank you for making the book, I would love to use it in my classroom, however I would get to emotional with it. I have lived in Newtown all my life and teach in a nearby town. I do appreciate people spreading the random acts of kindness that my town is trying to instill in everyone, we want you to remember our lost loved ones by doing nice thing for others. So thank you
