Cave Art, Freebie, and A Teacher Tip

We explored history with our big buddy class using Lesson One of Art History For Little Ones. I read the teacher script aloud about the discovery of the first cave paintings, and then we made our own!
Using large roll paper, we crumpled it up to be our "cave wall", and then we made our drawings with charcoal, crushed berries and clay.

Next week we are doing Egyptian Art and hieroglyphics!  You can see all the lessons HERE for K-3

.....or try this free Van Gogh lesson HERE.

    1. Sandy, I think I've seen you do similar things with your bowl of fruit art? You should give cheetahs a try! We did our polar bears the same way, and I have a feeling they will keep asking to do other animals this way until the end of the year! They are getting so good at it - took less than half an hour to make these.
