I'm linking up with my friend Deanna to make a list of the things I want to do this summer! Maybe if it's in writing like this, I will hold myself to doing all of them!
I'm looking forward to seeing all of my little forest friends again this summer! Because I live on the edge of a forest, I get all sorts of little visitors each summer. When they come back it's like saying hello to an old friend! So cute!
Love this picture - a little hummingbird got his beak stuck in the screen outside, and you can just barely see my cat on the inside of the window just licking his lips! Don't worry, I managed to carefully get the bird's beak out and after a few minutes resting in my hand, he flew away!
I am looking forward to lots of outdoor fitness this summer! I've come to realize that my body doesn't actually LIKE moving much, so I have to force it along the best I can. The summer weather makes it so much easier to get out there. Taking long walked with my hubby is always a good workout because he's 6'4 and I'm only 5'2, so just keeping up with him makes me sweat! This is a picture of me finishing my one and only 5K race last year. Now that I've done that, I never have to do it again, right? : )
I'm also looking forward to a trip with my brother and his family this summer. We have dinner together every Saturday night through the year, and take one small trip away together each summer. We are heading to the only true desert area in the province where it is HOT. Between that and Vegas I'm going to have a very warm summer this year! This is a picture from our balcony last year.
I can't forget to mention my upcoming trip to Vegas! Not only am I so excited to meet all of my fantastic blogger buddies in person, but also this will be the first time EVER that I've taken a plane trip with my hubby with NO KIDS!
Seriously, it's been 26 years!!
Thanks Deanna for a fun linky - I'm off to read everyone else's summer plans before adding a few more things here!
This may be my favorite post ever because I love getting to know you better! Your garden is GORGEOUS- in any season! And I LOVE that you have real live characters that come visit- just like your precious clip art! You are your husband will have SUCH an awesome time. You'll remember it forever!

Your yard is spectacular!! I'm so envious of the flowers and critters. We take off for long chunks of the summer at a time, so gardens never survive me. lol I wish I was going to Vegas... there are so many people I've connected with through blogs, Facebook & TpT that I'd love to meet! Have a great summer, Susanna! We've still got 24 days of teaching, but I'm sure it will fly by!

Wow, thank you for sharing those amazing photos. Living in tropical Australia, we really don't have any kind of noticeable change of seasons, other than it gets slightly cooler. My daughter loves your critters!! What wonderful inspiration for your art work, right in your back yard. thursdaytook@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful yard! Our trip to Vegas will be so much fun! (I only count 5 here - you need to add 5 more things! lol)

Wonder Post Susanna--I'm constantly jealous of your animal friends.
ReplyDeleteFrom a gardening aspect, since you said you get limited months to work on it, but it looks great---what is a flower that you would suggest that stays around the longest? We've got tons of perennials, but more don't flower--any suggestions
Thanks,
Matt
