All About Me Rainbows (Free Writing Template)

I have an activity to share with you today from earlier in the week that is perfect for the first days of school, or any time. It practices color words and recognition and invented spelling, but it also serves as an "All About Me" activity to share with classmates as we all get to know each other.

Everyone's rainbow will be different because we are all different; this leads well into a discussion about respecting everyone's diversity and differences, or even the colors in a real rainbow. Students simply fill out their answers and choose the appropriate colors needed.

These are great to share as a group afterwards. It's in American, Canadian English, and Spanish!

If you'd like to try it with your class, grab this freebie by clicking here!

  6. Hey girl! Love the cute freebie! I think your link at Classroom Freebies isn't work though - I got a error - so I went to your home page and searched for it myself. Maybe if you e-mail Charity she can edit the link? Just wanted to let you know!

  8. Ha! I bought a set of like/dislike stamps on Amazon- they came in a pack. I never thought I'd use the dislike- but I actually did this week. I stamp "LIKE" on assignments on which students receive 100%.

I have them raise their hand for a stamp in math. One boy- who has a good sense of humor tricked me! He raised his hand- but he actually missed a problem. I stamped his assignment and then realized my mistake.

He was pretty proud of himself for tricking me, but while the kids were laughing and carrying on, I whipped out my DISLIKE stamp and slammed it on his page. He and the other kids loved it.They thought it was so funny that I even had a dislike stamp.

I've had a couple of his siblings, so I told him to make sure he told his mom that he got that "dislike" for tricking me- not for his work. Too funny.
    Have a good weekend!
